The European Forum of Farm Animal Breeders (EFFAB) is an independent European forum for farm animal reproduction and selection organisations (industry and farmer’s cooperatives), including companies involved in related technologies.
Within EFFAB, cattle and other ruminants, pigs, poultry and aquaculture are represented.
Animal breeding industry would contribute to registration of animal clones - they have thorough reliable pedigree systems already in place which are at the heart of their breeding programmes. Via Code EFABAR they can guarantee these systems are in place and the animals can be registered in e.g. an animal clone database that already exists.
