The Code of Good Practice for farm animal breeding and reproduction organisations has been developed in a joint EU funded project with farm animal breeders and professional input on communication, certification and ethics.
As a breeding organisation you can adopt the Code or have it certified in a running management scheme. Code-EFABAR was at first version valid for two years, at the moment an update is made for Code-EFABAR 2011-2013.
Code-EFABAR has been launched at March 2 2006 at the Salon de l'Agriculture in Paris.
